Hard Mode would not live up to its name if it didn't present some sort of challenge, but rest assured that the stages and their challenges can be completed with the resources you have at your disposal.
Even if you can't beat Hard Mode, don't worry. There are no essential rewards gated behind it. It is simply a challenge mode for you to test your mettle.
